Job Description:

With regard to the three results areas the team leader will be engaged in the following fields:

· Support the formulation of policies, analysis and legal reforms;

· Change management;

· Strengthen the planning and budgeting standards and tools;

· Strengthen the Ministry’s farmer registration, M&E, the Agricultural Statistics and the Early Warning Systems;

· Capacity building;

· Agricultural extension and joint research-extension planning;

· Strengthen the topics food and nutrition security for the provision of more nutrition-sensitive services and policies;

· Manage and supervise the project’s financial and human resources.

Qualifications:

· Master’s degree in Agricultural with specialization in economics; Rural Development; Business Economics and Administration, Social Development or related field;

· Intensive professional experiences in:

· At least 10 years of professional experience as Team Leader on a rural development programme of similar size and complexity in Sub-Saharan Africa

· Assist the Imprest Administrator to draft TORs for non key experts TAs

· Institutional capacity building, change management;

· Planning, budgeting, standards and tools;

· Formulation, strengthening and analysis of agricultural (extension) policies;

· M&E;

· Mainstreaming food and nutrition security;

· Experience in management of EU funded projects;

· Professional experiences in Zambia and sound knowledge of the Zambian agricultural sector and policies is an advantage;

· Strong management and coordination skills;

· Fluent in written and spoken English.
